I went to the theatre today...
I went to see the movie "Juno" today. And to my delight the theatre was empty. So I took some pictures. I made it to the big screen. (the flash killed the picture on the screen) There is nothing better.
And yes, I did like Juno, not in it's entirety, there are themes throughout that are not acceptable (especially the main storyline dealing with teenage premarital sex resulting in pregnancy). I thought the acting was good and the script was decent.
Also, she decides against abortion, which redeems it somewhat.
yeah, I felt the same way... the dialog was fantastic and well, Juno had some sweet one-liners. I guess for me it wasn't so much the storyline ~ I mean, it may not have been morally stable, but it was very prevalent to the decisions teens are facing. It was more the casual attitude toward teenage pregnancy that made me question it.
It is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue.
-John Adams
For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move; to feel the needs and hitches of our life more nearly; to come down off this feather-bed of civilization, and find the globe granite underfoot and strewn with cutting flints. -Robert Louis Stevenson. -Travels with a Donkey in the Cevenne-
