AAHHHHHH! Spring

Here Comes The Sun
(George Harrison)
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Little darlin' it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darlin' it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Little darlin' the smiles returning to their faces
Little darlin' it seems like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes

Little darlin' I feel the ice is slowly meltin'
Little darlin' it seems like years since it's been clear
Here come the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Here come the sun, here comes the sun It's all right, it's all right.

One of my all-time favorite Founding Fathers is a man by the name of Benjamin Franklin. He signed both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution while pursuing a career in invention, science and politics.

He was not a christian but many of his views and opinions were overtly religious and bible based. When Thomas Paine wrote "The Age of Reason", he sent a copy of the manuscript to his good friend, Benjamin Franklin.
The response Benjamin sent back I have linked here and encourage you to read what this supposedly "anti-christian,atheistic" Founding Father had to say.

Here is the letter

Murphy's Laws

Any time you put an item in a "safe place", it will never be seen again.

Anything dropped in the bathroom will fall in the toilet (or the sink).

Any tool dropped in a workshop will roll to the least accessable corner. Any object dropped on the way to the least accessable corner will land on your toe.

Anything you try to fix will take longer and cost you more than you thought.

Everything takes longer than you think.

For any given software, the moment you manage to master it, a new version of that software appears on the market.

You click on the send button, just when your eyes see the mistake on the email.

You are only very busy when your boss is not at the office.
An interesting article that I found.........a great map from the 1984 elcetions...

While the presidential election of ‘08 is still 20 months out, the contest to determine which candidates will win their party nominations will be over in 11 months. That’s because 19 states representing more than half the nation’s population are taking

My parents and myself went to Town Meeting tonight at the Clarendon Elementary School.
All went well until the end of the meeting when the last little debates were winding down and some guy requested the floor and proceeded to read a proposal to vote on the impeachment of our president and vice-president, G.W. Bush and Dick Cheney, respectively.

Although the man was totally within his rights to do so by show of hands and with a vocal vote as well, the town of Clarendon Vt. voted to not join the impeachment coalition. I have to say that I looked upon the opposition with a rather smug countenance.
It was one of our finer moments.

I do not lay claim to agree with everything our President does or doesn't do, and I'll agree that he may not make all the best decisions. But who does? No mortal by any means. I feel that his term in office has been one of the hardest in years and I will continue to pray for all of our leadership. Vote on March 6th!

1770 - The Boston Massacre took place. British soldiers, who had been taunted by colonists (Patriots) and hit with snowballs, opened fire and killed five people.
And so the fight for American independence claimed some of it's first casualties.

Someone within the Topps baseball card organization inserted President Bush and Mickey Mantle into the background of Derek Jeter's card. Genius.

I think AlGore ought to share that Oscar with the whole North-East.Kind of shake things up a bit..

We are in the process of being snowned in again. This time the snow brought some formidable allies with it, sleet and freezing rain. Not to worry, we will survive.
