Dust to Dust....

On Tuesday, my Great-Aunt Cornelia passed away, she was 93. As my family and I attended the services and burial it drove into my mind the fact that once again, we are all human and will some day be turned back into the dust which we were pulled from. As the ashes were poured into the earth and the hole filled back in again, I though about my own fraility and the uncertainty of this life. There will be and end to all things, we know that.
What truly matters is, where will you end up?

Has anyone ever tried to memorize the 11 rules of standing at watch?

Consider yourself fortunate...

"HURT"

Earlier this week, I purchased Johnny Cash's American IV; When the Man Comes Around album.

It is very rough around the edges, with Cash's voice cutting in and out and showing definite signs of his failing health and old age.But overall, it is quintessential Cash, good, solid, heartfelt music.

Here is a cover he did of Trent Rezner's song "Hurt". In watching this, it is obvious he has regrets.

The 1st of May always seemed to me to be a very distinguished date, I'm glad my birthday falls on it......

The poor bear didn't have a chance

Well, It's official.....

On Monday, I went to Portland Me. and took my ASVAB test
and physical. I took the job of Aircraft Electronic, Electrical and
Computer Systems Technician. It basically means I am an
aircraft electrician. I will be leaving on August 3rd.
