Life in Norfolk, keeps going on....

I would have never thought that I would enjoy work more than my time off, however, that is not the case here. I have two new roomates and while they seem to be decent fellows I have absolulety no privacy whatsoever and hours of lying awake listening to crappy rap cell phone ring tones do nothing to comfort me. I am in the process of working out my housing allowance with the US. Government and will hopefully be able to have my own room and kitchen. That is basically all that has been going on.
Work has proven to be very stimulating and unique (how many people can say they work on helicopters for a living?) I enjoy it for the most part although I am not planning on making a career out of it. I am healthy and thriving in this very livable Va. climate. If anyone would like to visit I'd be more than happy to have company (depending on my schedule). For now. Andrew

More Homer quotes

I found tons of these in my quest..

Homer: "There's your giraffe, little girl."

Ralph Wiggum: "I'm a boy."

Homer:" That's the spirit. Never give up"

"Here's to alcohol, the cause of—and solution to—all life's problems."

"How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?"

"I'm normally not a praying man, but if you're up there, please save me Superman."

Scully: "Homer, we're going to ask you a few simple yes or no questions. Do you understand?" Homer: "Yes." (lie dectector blows up)

Homer Simpson quotes

  • (upon meeting aliens) "Please don't eat me! I have a wife and kids. Eat them!"
  • "I want to share something with you: The three little sentences that will get you through life. Number 1: Cover for me. Number 2: Oh, good idea, Boss! Number 3: It was like that when I got here."

  • "To Start Press Any Key'. Where's the ANY key?"
  • "Lisa, Vampires are make-believe, like elves, gremlins, and eskimos."

  • "What! There's money in the grease business?! In that case my veins are flowing with liquid gold!"

One thing that really annoys me...

When I'm riding in a virtually empty bus and a new boarder has to pick the spot right next to me to sit down when there are numerous others seats that haven't been taken. Or am I the only one who rides the bus?
Yep, I'm the only one who rides the bus.

Well, I am down here in Williamsburg Va. and I have to admit that it is one of the prettiest places that I have ever been to in Virginia. My buddy Ryan and I visited the Colonial town this afternoon and plan on spending the day there tomorrow. I'll post some pictures later.

Destiny... destiny protect me from the world
Destiny... hold my hand, protect me from the world
Here we are, with our running and confusion
And I don't see no confusion anywhere
As the world does turn
And if London burns
I'll be standing on the beach with my guitar
I wanna be in a band
When I get to heaven
Anyone can play guitar and they won'tbe a nothing anymore.
Grow my hair... grow my hair I am Jim Morrison
Grow my hair... I wanna be wanna be wanna be Jim Morrison
Here we are, with our running and confusion
And I don't see no confusion anywhere
As the world does turn
And if London burns I'll be standing on the beach with my guitar
I wanna be in a band
When I get to heaven
Anyone can play guitar and they won'tbe a nothing anymore.

Me and good 'ol room #219 have been buddies for almost 3 months now and our kinship is finally coming to a closure as I am leaving tomorrow (I think). I have had two roomates stay for a grand total of 3 nights so I have been blessed to have been the only one in my room for such a long while.
This is my new laptop and I am not impressed with Vista at all. XP was a fantastic Windows operating system (if that is indeed possible).

To my friends and family in the North

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting,

Little darling, it feels like years since it's been clear,

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun and I say,

It's alright.

Most children give candy or flowers to their mom on Valentine's Day. Sidney Mathis gave his mother a live hand grenade.......

Word of the Day (Dictionary.com)

2. Infected with or contaminated by a pestilential disease.
3. Morally evil or dangerous to society; pernicious.

Sounds kinda like the elections. Especially #3.

"She was...an American Girl...."

I thought the Superbowl halftime was the best since U2. Not that the competition has been that good.

02/07/08

Well, after a long hiatus I have finally posted again. Not much has gone on out of the ordinary here in Norfolk. My solid upbringing and acute, almost gyroscopic senses have kept me from making any irreparable mistakes that could jeopardize my future. Which means that I have been doing very little outside of school which has given me the chance to catch up on episodes of The Office or Arrested Development and other various tv shows and movies.
I graduate from school tomorrow and from there within the next couple of weeks I will be joining my squadron and be off with my career.
The Superbowl was a major disapointment and I will say that I was rather ashamed of the lads from New England but that was short lived as baseball is right around the corner. Regardless of what Rocket Roger says or what Barry Bonds is denying this week or who the next guy Jose Canseco is going to rat out is, I still love the game with a passion.
I hope to be able to get some pictures posted soon, I have a few from my recent excursion to Va. Beach which I might add I'm not all that impressed with.

*Ahem...*

Stallone: HGH use is 'nothing'

NEW YORK - Sylvester Stallone says he used human growth hormone to get buff for the new "Rambo" movie, and defends its use. "HGH (human growth hormone) is nothing," the 61-year-old actor tells Time magazine in its Feb. 4 issue. "Anyone who calls it a steroid is grossly misinformed."
Because it is nearly undetectable, HGH has become a substance of great concern in major league baseball and other sports battling allegations of rampant doping.
"Testosterone to me is so important for a sense of well-being when you get older," he says. "Everyone over 40 years old would be wise to investigate it because it increases the quality of your life. Mark my words. In 10 years it will be over the counter."

Your words have been marked, my big friend.

01/26/2008

So hello everyone. I'm still alive down here, although just a little more than cut off due to lack of the www. I am still doing well, I complete my "A" school next week and am graduating on February 8th. As you might imagine I'm stoked about that, because then it's off to the fleet with me. I can finally get moving on with things.
